OUR AMAZING GOD
1. Our Amazing God
Matthew 7:28 When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching;
Matthew 8:27 The men were amazed, and said, “What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
Matthew 9:33 After the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed, and were saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel
Matthew 12:23 All the crowds were amazed, and were saying, “This man cannot be the Son of David, can he?”
Matthew 21:20 Seeing this, the disciples were amazed and asked, “How did the fig tree wither all at once?”
Matthew 27:14 And He did not answer him with regard to even a single charge, so the governor was quite amazed.
2. God spoke
10:1-8 Cornelius had a vision
10:9-16 Peter had a vision
10:19 Peter heard the Spirit speak
THAT GOD WOULD SPEAK TO US IS AMAZING!
3. An Obedient Response
10:1-8 Cornelius listened to God’s instructions and obeyed God’s directive to send men to get Peter.
10:9-16 Peter heeded the message of the vision and adjusted his understanding and beliefs to align with God.
10:19-20 Peter listened to the Spirit and obediently accompanied the messengers back to Caesarea.
OBEDIENCE ON OUR PART IS NECESSARY FOR US TO BE A PART OF GOD’S AMAZING WORKS
4. The Gospel was proclaimed
The Gentiles believed
The Spirit was poured out

THE MOST AMAZING ACT OF GOD IS THAT HE SAVES SINNERS
5. God did something they did not expect, and they were amazed!
Our Response to God Impacts What Wonders God Will Do. (It does not impact in any way what God can do!)
Matthew 13:58 And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.
Jeremiah 15:19 If you return, then I will restore you.
Zechariah 1:3 , “Return to Me, that I may return to you.”
Malachi 3:7. Return to Me, and I will return to you,”
Acts 10:45 All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were AMAZED, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
GOD HAS DONE AND CONTINUES TO DO WONDEROUS THINGS
Psalm 98:1 O sing to the Lord a new song, For He has done wonderful things,
Joshua 3:5 Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
Psalm 118:22-24 The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.
23 This is the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

THEREFORE, REPENT AND RETURN, SO THAT YOUR SINS MAY BE WIPED AWAY, IN ORDER THAT TIMES OF REFRESHING MAY COME FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD.
