Sends for a pagan diviner/sorcerer named Balaam to curse Israel

Balaam: A Pagan Prophet

Driven by self-interest

Willing to compromise

An opportunist seeking advantage

The Mouthpiece of God

The donkey speaks

The angel of the Lord speaks

The pagan prophet speaks

Balaam speaks again, and again, and again

Lessons for today

God will not be manipulated

God will fulfill His plans

God will keep all His promises

AND

God will use whomever He chooses to carry His message

Don’t be silent when He calls you to speak!
