Abraham went out not knowing where he was going

Abraham lived as an alien in a land that God had promised him

Abraham & Sarah miraculously conceived a son by God’s faithfulness

Abraham believed God’s promise of a better future

Abraham offered up Isaac as a sacrifice to God

What was God testing?

Was God testing Abraham’s love?

Was God testing his obedience?

God’s greatest desire…

Is for us to trust Him

The Promises of God

Eternal life to those who believe John 3:36, I John 5:11-13

Salvation to those who believe Romans 1:16

All things would work together for good for the called Rom. 8:28

New life for those in Christ 2 Corinthians 5:17

Peace when we pray Philippians 4:6-7

To supply the needs of those who seek Him Matt. 6:33, Phi. 4:19

Spiritual blessings Ephesians 1:3

Comfor in affliction 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

The Promises of Jesus

Abundant life to those who follow Him John 10:10

Power when indwelt by the Spirit Acts 1:8

Rest for those who come to Him Matthew 11:28

Eternal life to His sheep who follow Him John10:27-28

Real life for those ready to lose their life Matthew 16:24-25

Acceptance to all who come to Him John 6:37

Reward to those who sacrifice for Him Mark 10:29-31

Knowledge of God if they love and obey Him John 14:21

Friendship with Christ for the obedient John 15:14-15

He asks: “Really Trust Me”

I will save you I will give you eternal life I will accept you I will give you My Spirit

I will forgive you I will give you knowledge

I will sustain you I will give you wisdom

I will keep you I will give you rewards

I will deliver you I will give you peace

I will love you I will give you rest

I will protect you I will give you power

I will reward you I will give you purpose
