Jesus is our Victory

In Spiritual Warfare, Jesus is our Victory

Defining Spiritual Warfare

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the powers, against
the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual
forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”   Ephesians 6:12

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war
as the world does.  The weapons we fight with are not the
weapons of the world.  On the contrary, they have divine
power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments
and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge
of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient

                    to Christ.”   2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Defining Spiritual Oppression

Spiritual oppression is when the enemy is temporarily
                     victorious over a Christian by:

Successfully tempting a Christian to sin
Hindering a Christian in their walk with God
Stealing the fruit of the Spirit through persistent attacks

“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert.  Your adversary, the devil
prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to                                          devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that                                          the same experiences of suffering are being                                                            accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.”                                          1 Peter 5:8-9

Put on the ARMOR OF GOD:    (Ephesians 6:13-18

            Call for help

“You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with
the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about
doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the
devil, for God was with Him.”    Acts 10:38

“They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am                                  with you to deliver you, declares the Lord”   Jeremiah 1:19

“And though they fight against you, they will not prevail over you; for
I am with you to save you and deliver you, declares the Lord.”
                           Jeremiah 15:20

“The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks
be to God,  who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus                                 Christ.”  1 Corinthians 15:56-57

“Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of                                   this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s”
                           2 Chronicles 20:15

“The Lord your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your                                  behalf.”  Deuteronomy 1:30
