One God, One Faith

For years, River Hills Baptist Church has shared its facilities with other Bible-believing congregations that have needed a place for worship, Bible study and fellowship until they could get a place of their own. Beth Shiloh, a Messianic Jewish congregation, and Emmanuel Church, a Slavic/Russian Christian congregation had shared joint use of the RHBC facilities until Beth Shiloh acquired property of their own last year. Now, God has blessed Emmanuel with some land and before long they will be planning to build their own facilities.

On Sunday, May 6th, the congregations of River Hills Baptist and Emmanuel Church celebrate God’s goodness with a joint worship service followed by a joint fellowship meal. The sermon will be preached in Russian with translation for our RHBC family, so while there will be no sermon notes posted to the RHBC website, God’s Word will be preached and He will be worshipped as the One True God by those of One Faith, whether it be by Russians or English speaking people or any other ethnic or language groups.

As Ephesians 4:4-6 tells us, “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your calling—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

With that said, then "To God be the glory!"
